THE BORN ACTRESS
Before the day had ended, I asked somebody I like to work with us, and could help us. I plead at the top of my lungs, but still at the end, I was rejected. I think the world is angry on me right now, what have I done? Did I do something wrong, and God is punishing myself? All I want to happen on me is to die, die right now from where I am sitting. I’m waiting right now, for somebody to shoot me.
The weekend passed. Now it’s already Monday, finally my partner is here. I told her about that thing, I could see in her eyes the regret. I know she doesn’t want me. We have eleven more days for the thing. We don’t have a script yet, no ideas still. While we are in the middle of discussing the plans for our drama, her eyes became watery, and felt disappointed. I cannot help her on planning the script and constructing it because I have problem with English grammar. I just gave her some ideas, such as making it a comedy. I know if it not a comedy, the audiences would be killed because of boredom. If it’s only about a conversation of a two per son it would be nonsense.
Next day, she had done the script. I’ve read it, and it was fascinating. It gave me chance, I felt the energy and enthusiasm again. I think the sun shine again. Tomorrow had arrived. We had a practice for the task, we kept on repeating it simultaneously, which is fun. Every single night I tried to memorize each line so I won’t be humiliated in front of people. Our script is about a desperate girl, and went to a counselor to seek for help about her family situation, but the counselor didn’t give her some advice, and the story ended up with the girl did suicide, and died.
The day had come. Today is now the day for our presentation. I’m kind of bit nervous. The first presenters were great, and we are the chosen pair to perform next. I started to palpitate and hear the loud pump of my heart in my chest. It’s my first time to perform in front of English people. Once I started to perform my nervousness fade away and perform on the best as I can. As our play ended, and heard the cheer and clapping of the people, my lungs now can breathe normally. Thank god, were done. And now that my partner knows that I’m not what she thought about me, I felt sorry for her, because I know I acted better than her. But I still thank her, because she was the one to make the script and help me memorize my lines. Therefore it was another success for me. This thing ended up like a “happily ever after”.
THE BODY SYSTEMS(not all)
Circulatory system is a system which is liable for pumping blood throughout our body and transport nutrients and oxygen for our cells to help other organs to function. Some organs in this system are heart, blood, arteries, veins, and capillaries. Blood is one of the main prop for the circulatory system; there are three types of blood the red blood cell, white blood cell plasma and platelets. The red blood cell is a kind of blood which is responsible for carrying the nutrients and oxygen to the different parts of our body, the white blood cell is the one that assists fighting foreign bodies and protect our body from diseases, Plasma is the liquid component of our blood, and lastly the platelets, platelets are responsible for blood clotting, preventing and healing. Our blood became red because of hemoglobin which is the red pigment in our blood and it carries oxygen. Our blood have three colors, white, blue and red, red if it’s oxygenated, white for the white blood cells, blue for deoxygenated blood.
Respiratory System is the system responsible for our breathing in and out of oxygen and carbon dioxide. Some organs in this system are, nose, mouth, pharynx, larynx, trachea and bronchi. The breathing process starts in our nose/mouth, then passes through trachea or wind pipe, afterwards it will pass into two branches called bronchi, one for every lung. The bronchi are followed by more branches called the bronchioles, at the end of every bronchioles there is an air sac made up of tiny formations called alveoli, our alveoli are surrounded by dense network of small blood vessels called capillaries, then the blood will pick up oxygen, after that the circulatory system will take over and distribute the oxygen into body parts which need oxygen. Respiratory system and circulatory system work together to help our bode work.
Digestive system’s function is to break down food into smaller particles to feed our body cells. The organs found in this system are, stomach, esophagus, mouth, teeth, pancreas, small and large intestines, appendix and anus. The digestive tract goes like this, it starts with our mouth chewing bolus, then the bolus passes through the esophagus, afterwards it reaches the stomach and the bolus becomes a chyme, then the chyme travels to the small intestine, then to the large intestine, going to the rectum, ended in the anus.
The muscular and skeletal systems are the one which protects our body and other body parts, it’s also used for our locomotion and movement. The skeletal system does give our body shape because it’s the frame work of our body. In the skeletal system it includes, bones, cartilage, ligament and joint. Our bones also produce white, red blood cells, platelets and plasma. Our muscular system can be found anywhere in our body, our stomach, heart, have hallow muscles to function.
Excretory System is responsible for elimination of nitrogenous waste products, produces, stores and elimination of urine and urea. The excretory system does only excretes it also secretes, egests, and eliminates waste. Some of the organs in this system are skin, liver, kidneys, bladder, urethra and etc. This system eliminates waste through lungs, kidneys and large intestines. The some of the waste products are salt, water, urea, carbon dioxide, and heat.
Each and every part of our body system and its organ are really important in our sensitive body. Each has its individual use but every part has a connection. All the system should collaborate to let our body work and function well. Circulatory system is connected to the respiratory system and the respiratory system works with the excretory system, and the digestive system needs the excretory system to excrete the waste from the food we take then the Skeletal and Muscular system to protect the organs in circulatory, respiratory, digestive and excretory system.
Freaky Friday: Review
Impossibly as it may look like, the film itself is already enough to touch the heart and soften the hardheaded teenagers who are influenced by the rapid development of technology and education which make them wiser and mature enough to act in different kind of situations. The film, though, maybe far from reality, but the characters are fully comparable to those teenagers and parents of today’s generation.
The movie was modernized through its special effects, one part of the film that had a special effect was the time they were in the Chinese restaurant and had a sudden earthquake. In the movie there were some sound tracks that had been a part of the movie included a soundtrack which featured songs by various artists. The album was called a "mixed bag" by allmusic, which specifically cited American Hi-Fi "The Art of Losing," The Donnas' "Backstage", Andrew W.K.'s "She Is Beautiful," and Joey Ramone's "What a Wonderful World" as good, and strongly criticizes the rest of the album. The album was certified Gold and sold over 650,001 to date. The costumes are fascinating, that made the charters look great, even the props that they’ve used on the movie.
The best part of the story was when they realized things such as Anna should accept his mother’s boyfriend Ryan and Tess realizes how exciting it is to be on stage and why Anna loves the rock band then after everything happened there was a second earthquake that everyone feels and Anna and Tess switch back into their own bodies.
Every scene in the movie is important and should not be change, if I could change something it would ruin everything. The movie was perfectly made and I like everything about the movie, as one of the audiences I wasn’t bored on watching it.
Teens, teens are really confused with many things, and they love to try many things. That’s why they argue with their parents. Some teens answer back to their parents if they didn’t get what they want or need. I would recommend this to those daughters or children who are against their parents and doesn’t want to obey them. Maybe the possible audiences are girls whose fan of Lindsay Lohan, mothers who care about their rebel child, people who’s looking for romance, and for fantasy or magic, The movie must be watched by teenagers whose life is almost centered on their selves and to those who does not collaborate with life’s challenges. Not only teenagers but also parents must watch the said movie, parents who do not know how to approach their children in the nicest way possible, those stodgy parents, and those parents who just get what they want and does not ask the opinion of their children as to make a decision with the approval of each member of the family.
I would personally recommend it to my cousin who doesn’t obey, respect and honor her mother, she talks to her like they were in the same age and rebel against her mother. If I will rate it out of ten I’ll rate it seven, not too high not too low, just enough grade for a good movie that would wake up those children who were bad to their parents.
Learn To love yourself
Learning to love ourselves is easy. We have to appreciate ourselves first, have trust and be confident about it. Building trust, appreciation, and confidence for ourselves are one o the main problems of teenagers nowadays. Being insecure about others is a very bad and unhelpful thing for us teenagers. Being insecure leads us to depression. Depression may lead us to the most famous disorder in all teenagers today is the “EATING DISORDER”.
Eating disorder is an abnormal behavior patterns with regard to food, not including simple overindulgence and resulting obesity. Two serious eating disorders are anorexia nervosa and bulimia.
Nowadays obesity is a very serious problem affecting almost every teenager in the world. Obesity is being overweight. Increasing calorie consumption and reducing physical activities have played a key role in the prevalence of obesity seen today. In our country and other developed nations, the availability of wider food options has contributed to a change in eating habits. Grocery stores stock their shelves with a greater selection of products. Prepackaged foods, soft drinks, and fast-food restaurants have become more accessible. While such food choices offer convenience, they also tend to be high in fat, sugar, and calories. Obesity can affect digestive, kidney, heart and our breathing. Obese people are more than twice as likely to develop hypertension. The risk of medical complications, particularly heart disease, increases when body fat is distributed around the waist, especially in the abdomen. Symptoms of obesity are headache, chest pains, difficulty of breathing, nausea and etc.
Anorexia nervosa is also one of the problems in our society. Anorexia is a mental illness in which a teenager has an intense fear of gaining weight and a distorted perception of their weight and body shape. Teenagers with this illness believe themselves to be fat even when their weight is so low that their health is in danger. A teenager with anorexia nervosa severely restricts food intake and usually becomes extremely thin. And it leads to teenager’s death.
Bulimia is a problem of teenager which persistent over concern with body weight and shape leads to repeated episodes of binging (consuming large amounts of food in a short time) associated with induced vomiting, use of laxatives, fasting, and/or excessive exercise to control weight.
These eating disorders affect every single part of our body. Lack of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals intake could destroy our body cells. These eating disorders affects our Digestive system through having ulcer in our stomach or could explode our hallow stomach muscles via immoderation. If you’re considered as obese, you and your circulatory system could suffer from various kinds of diseases and malfunctioning. Fats could block our veins through heart and leads to heart attack. If you are obese, the blood circulation in your body could hardly function.
We need to love ourselves to conquer these problems. We have to keep in our mind that we need to be ourselves all the time no matter what somebody says, we are what we are and nothing could replace it. In loving ourselves we have to be proud, confident, and happy about us. We should take care of ourselves because we are unique and no one could be like us, “you’re the only one YOU”. YOU shouldn’t be like others who suffer from those disorders, and made themselves suffer a lot unlike you, just enjoying your blessed life.
We, the teenagers have lots of floating dreams in our mind. In each goal that we make and try to fulfill is we need to have a pattern and guidance. I have made an easy 5-step guide on striving hard for our goals. We can use this on anything we need to do and finish.
5 STEPS:
1. GOAL SETTING- we have to set a goal. Know what is your goal for, why do you want to do it, when do you want to finish it. You put in mind that you are doing this for yourself and not for others. Don’t ever set a goal for others.
2. ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL NOW- start to fulfill your goal NOW. Not later, tomorrow or next time but NOW.
3. NO SHORTCUTS- In attaining one’s goal, you cannot do it in an easy way. You can’t skip every challenge to face. No cheating. Make things honestly, clean and tidy to accomplish your goal perfectly without doubts. Do it SLOWLY BUT SURELY.
4. MOTIVATE YOURSELF- Have an inspiration in achieving your goal. Don’t ever, ever, ever quit in the middle of the process. Because SOON you’re half way through fulfilling it, maybe not now, today, tomorrow, but SOON.
5. “BE HAPPY”
